Yoga Nidra is yogic sleep. It is the meditative healing art of deep relaxation of the body and mind. It is meditation while lying down. The ancient and modern yogis would practice this instead of napping, think of it as a cat nap without the grogginess. It was practiced to heal the body into optimal immune health, release stagnant emotions and reduce stress. In this practice Andrea will guide you with a deep relaxation and visualization by indicating each part of the body, and organs to relax and to quiet the mind. Your body and mind will lull itself into an awakened slumber. It is a state of fully relaxed conscious awareness. For each session, bring your Sankalpa, your seed of intention. Once the session begins and intention is set, forget the rest and be guided by Andrea's soothing instructions and sound bowl.
