A New Path to Healing

We are proud to now offer EMDR therapy—a highly effective treatment that helps the brain heal from trauma, painful memories, and emotional distress.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps the brain heal from traumatic or distressing memories. Using guided eye movements, sounds, or taps, EMDR helps process difficult experiences so they become less emotionally overwhelming. It is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

How EMDR Works

Think of a physical wound that heals naturally. Sometimes painful memories get “stuck” and cannot heal on their own. EMDR helps the brain resume its natural healing process by reprocessing those memories. The memory remains, but it no longer triggers the same level of distress.

What EMDR Treats

  • PTSD and trauma

  • Anxiety and phobias

  • Depression

  • Grief, loss, and accident-related distress

What to Expect

  1. Assessment and treatment planning

  2. Learning coping and calming skills

  3. Reprocessing memories using eye movements or other stimulation

  4. Reduced emotional distress and greater relief, though some temporary fatigue is common after sessions
