About the Founder and CEO

An immigrant with a heart of gold and a zest for life arrived in the United States with big dreams. Through education, mentorship and volunteerism, she created a beautiful ecosystem of love and support, and realized that she had the power to change the narrative of her life. Now as conqueror, guerrera, she is ready to help 1,000,000 matriarchs do the same. She is Erica Priscilla Sandoval, LCSW.

As a mental health practitioner, speaker, executive coach, entrepreneur, podcaster, philanthropist, and author of Latinx/e in Social Work Volumes I and II. She founded Sandoval Psychotherapy Consultation – known as Sandoval CoLab – where she oversees a team of social workers; leads diversity, equity, and inclusion work; and provides ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, a breakthrough approach to an awakened mind and healing trauma and depression. Erica was recently named New York Socia of Latina Empire, a personal and business development coaching program.

The recipient of many awards, Erica received Prospanica- NY’s 2021 Top Latinx Leaders Social Justice Award, was recognized by Latino Leaders in Action as a Latino Leader on the Radar, and was awarded the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 2018 Diversity and Inclusion Innovation Award. In 2020, Erica became the first immigrant Latina president of the National Association of Social Workers’ New York City chapter and is now the chapter’s President Emeritus. She served on the board of directors of Latino Social Work Coalition Scholarship Fund Inc and mentored the new leaders of the organization.

As a proud immigrant from Ecuador, her passion is fueled by supporting the community she is a part. Her greatest pride is being a single mother and raising her 22-year- old daughter, Isabella, whom she considers her biggest teacher.
